Il Monastero’ is a magnificent historic former stone monastery, built in 12th and 15th centuries, and now beautifully restored as a family home of character and charm in a tranquil medieval village high in the hills, with views over ancient olive groves planted in 14th/15th centuries, leading down the valley to the Roman temple of Clitunno, celebrated by Catullus and Byron, and lying beside the old Roman road, via Flaminia which runs north to Assisi and Perugia, south to nearby Spoleto.

The villa is perfectly located for an exquisite self-catering holiday of tranquil rest, or activity oriented mountain walks and art lover’s tours.

The villa is easy to reach being less than 2 hours drive from both of Rome’s airports and Florence, as well as by train from Ancona (all accessible by Easyjet and Ryanair)
